Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't you include all the feedback you receive in the resource ratings?

The types of situations that would cause feedback to be excluded are:

  • The rater used obscenity in the feedback.
  • The feedback was defamatory, inflammatory, or otherwise inappropriate (spam, flame wars).
  • The rater seems to be supplying an unusually high amount of feedback on service providers, giving an indication that the resources have not actually been used. In other words, it appears that somebody is trying to "game" the system.
  • The rater seems to be basing the feedback on hearsay rather than an informed opinion. An example would be a scathing "review" of a book that doesn't give any indication that the rater has even read the book.

I am not interested in censoring peoples' honest evaluations of the resources; please do feel free to express your opinion based on your personal (first-hand) experience. My only concern is that the feedback is legitimate and helpful to others.
